Photos from Dancing Log Cabins, June 17 & 18, 2016.

This class had 2 sessions with about 23 total participants. The York guild was amazing and they came prepared to sew up a wonderful variety of the Dancing Log Cabin blocks. The fabrics and the color selection were fun.... from Halloween with the Mexican Day of the Dead sparkly sugar heads and candy corn to a beautiful batik tropical flower garden, and everything in between! There is one that was all blues... light to dark.... greenish to sky blue and it seemed to whisper peace and contentment. I can't wait to see how they all turned out

Jane Frenke (standing) answers questions and tries to keep the
participants on track at the York Quilters Guild meeting.

As you can see you can get many variations from the same
pattern.
The photos above were taken by one of the participants,
Cheryl Dawson, who said "it was a fun class".

And if you think a little outside the box like this lady.... Well you
can make all kinds of interesting things for any holiday.

This lady went right for the gusto using many blocks to complete a huge quilt.
"I liked it so much that after I finished enough squares for the twin size,
I went back and made 9 more. So now I have a lovely double sized quilt top
to quilt! Loving those purple stars!"

This lady wanted to be sure she had the method "down pat"
so she made 3 versions of the pattern.

One more late arrival.
